A shift from traditional business to digitization

 Digitalization is the transformation from the traditional way to the digitalized form of working. The traditional method of work required a lot of effort and physical labor. Internet and digitalization have revolutionized the world. In this article, we are defining the paradigm shift from the traditional way of marketing to the digital and virtual form of marketing. 

Especially the pattern of work changed completely and the trend of online jobs started. Online job is the earning method where we can sell our expertise and skills on digital platform and earn money. There are hundreds of websites where people work and get paid. It includes freelancing, language translation, web designing, blogging, content writing, online tutoring, and online shops, etc.

Recently when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, it disturbed the livelihood of millions of people around the globe. Economies went into crisis, people lost their jobs, organizations bankrupted due to lockdowns. It affected every working sector except the online working sector. Amidst all these it boosts digitalization. People start working as a freelancer, students start learning online, entrepreneurs engage with e-Commerce.

In Chitral, people have a limited source of income. People usually engage education sector, health sector, army, agriculture sector, and self-business, etc. people of Chitral prefer to have government jobs because of lifetime security. But for the first time in the history of the Chitral government along with other organizations like the University of Chitral, Shah Holding Group, National Incubation Center Peshawar organize a digitalization program where they provide training about word press, blogging and content writing, photography, and film making, e-commerce, and graphic designing.

The main purpose of this training is to create awareness among the youth of Chitral about digitalization. Secondly, this training helps youth to come out from the traditional way of earning. In addition, this training tries to divert the mind of youth from government to the world of digitalization where they can earn more money. Along with this, this training increases women's empowerment in the region. Women who avoid working away from home can work from home.
